Steven T. Monson is originally from Nebraska, but moved to Colorado over 35 years ago to practice law,  initially working in Gunnison until moving to the Springs for more mild temperatures.  Steve and his family have been happy to call Colorado Springs home for over 30 years. Steve enjoys skiing, hunting, fly fishing, biking, traveling, and trail running.

Chris is a founding member/partner in Monson, Cummins, Shohet, & Farr, LLC. Chris was born and raised in Colorado, growing up in Greeley before moving to Colorado Springs.  Chris has been practicing law in Colorado since 2003.  As a lifetime resident of Colorado, Chris enjoys many outdoor activities with friends and his wife and two sons, including hiking, hunting, fishing, camping, skiing, live music, and exploring Colorado's vast network of 4x4 trails.

About

David is a founding member/partner in Monson, Cummins, Shohet & Farr, LLC. David has practiced law in Colorado since 2005.  David grew up in California and then attended Colorado State University for his undergraduate degree where he played football for the Rams and was selected All Mountain West Conference in 2001.  David and his wife love all that Colorado has to offer and find themselves outdoors much of the time be it hiking, skiing, or enjoying numerous other activities.

About

Ryan is a member/partner in Monson, Cummins, Shohet & Farr.  Ryan was born and raised in Colorado, growing up in Greeley before moving to Ft. Collins to attend Colorado State University for his undergraduate degree.  Ryan lived in Jacksonville, Florida while attending law school, but was drawn back to Colorado by the mountains, activities, and weather. Being a Coloradan, Ryan enjoys a myriad of outdoor activities including mountain biking, rafting hiking, and fishing.

About

James is an associate at Monson, Cummins, Shohet & Farr.  James was born in Colorado Springs and was raised throughout Colorado with much time spent living in the West Slope. His living throughout Colorado resulted in a great love for the outdoors. When not working, James spends his time in the outdoors, whether it be rock climbing, motorcycle riding, to snow boarding and hiking, activity is in his blood.

Sedona E. Chavez

About

Sedona is an associate at Monson, Cummins, Shohet & Farr.   Sedona grew up in Monterey, California before moving to Arizona to earn her undergraduate degree in Agribusiness. She later moved to rural Vermont for law school, where she focused her studies on water and agriculture law. Sedona has been living in Colorado since 2020 and in her free time, she enjoys crocheting and other crafts, listening to ABBA, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and her rescue animals.
